These services can be carried out at any stage of a project.

They provide the most value if started during RIBA Stages 2-4 so that interior and FF&E design can be integrated into the project design phase.

However, we have carried out design and installations only 12 weeks from a required completion date.

While some parts can be covered by the Architect, Contractor, or Manufacturers, they usually don’t have enough expertise or experience required.

The Architect can show placeholders on a drawings but they do not usually have detailed knowledge of real products or costs.

Contractors can procure products but also lack detailed design and product knowledge.

Manufacturers want to sell their products and are not usually able to provide independent expertise across the whole project.

We provide expertise across all aspects of the work required, we work with over 50 OEM manufacturers and have extensive pricing information from over 100 previous projects.

If the project has an insufficient, or no, budget for fees, we are able to provide the design services and roll up the cost of these into a total installation price, which can be funded from the installation budget. 

We follow these frameworks and methods of working to demonstrate VFM for our Clients.

We are members of the Perfect Circle Framework. Perfect Circle is an industry-leading, construction consultancy, which provides property and design expertise for public sector clients across the UK. It is a partnership led by Pick Everard, Gleeds and AECOM, set up to deliver a comprehensive suite of design and construction consultancy services for capital projects. This framework allows Public Sectors Clients to procure Hatfield Interiors directly giving peace of mind with the support of other large and experienced Construction Consultants, if required.

Management Service

Management Service providing competitive tendering for ‘best in class’ packages. This consists of tendering, procurement, order management and management on site. This is carried out on an open book basis with a number of ‘best in class’ FF&E packages with an agreed allowance for overheads and profits. This gives the Client the benefit of maintaining VFM across all the products and transparency in pricing and installation.

Neutral Vendor Service Provider.

We are an Accredited supplier on the Constellia Marketplace and can be compliantly procured via a Direct Award. Constellia are a Procurement Neutral Vendor Managed Service Provider available via the AEC framework which covers services, goods and works. A number of Local Authorities already recognise the benefits of a Neutral Vendor procurement approach having used this approach for both Professional Services and Contingent Labour. The AEC framework is the first Neutral Vendor for works which has been accessed by over 60 Contracting Authorities such as Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea, London Borough of Southwark, London Borough of Merton, and numerous other NHS, University, Central Government and Education organisations.

We believe the main way of making projects sustainable is by making the products last longer. We design and specify products with the aim of making them as durable and robust as possible in accordance with the Client’s brief and budget. 

This includes checking the upstream sourcing and processes of manufacturers are done sustainably, upgrading standard products with more durable fabrics, specifying materials that we know provide a greater lifespan, where possible avoiding processes that harm the environment such as chrome plating and, where appropriate, specifying in accordance with project BREAAM requirements such as using sustainably sourced base materials such as timber and avoiding materials that are sometimes prohibited on projects such as MDF.

We operate independently of trade suppliers and manufactures and do not receive any payments or benefits are a result of specifying any products or services. 

Our aim always is to specify and procure the most appropriate product for a Client’s project based on their individual brief, budget and the requirements of the project. This can range from low cost chairs that are robust and suitable for a school all the way through to premium furniture for a five star Hotel.

For fixed furniture installations and other work carried out through a main Contractor, we comply with the requirements of the subcontract. This usually requires that the work is certified at practical completion and then 1 year later at sign off. Ant defects are retified during this stage.

For loose furnitre products supplied by a Manufacturer we normally pass on the same terms as the Manufacturers Warranties which is usually between 3 to 5 years depending on the product.

We provide these Insurances: Public Liability, Contractors All Risk and Professional Indemnity.

With a continued commitment to the highest health and safety standards, Hatfield Interiors work flexibly depending on the type of project and its requirements for the delivery and installation of FF&E. We use 2 main methods:

1. Hatfield Interiors working through a Principal Contractor as a specialist sub-contractor. With a CHAS certification and all operatives holding CSCS cards, we comply with the Principal Contractors Health and Safety requirements and site-specific safety regulations. This way of working enables coordination and compliance with the Principal Contractor, particularly with fixed furniture, joinery, and final service connections.
2. Hatfield Interiors working on projects directly for Clients and End Users. These are either operational buildings, or completed buildings handed over from a Principal Contractor to a Client. In this instance, Hatfield Interiors can assume a Principal Contractor role under the CDM Regulations, whilst the management and security of the building remains with the Client.
